The golden summer always feels good to me. It’s a time when I enjoy the sun, relax, and calm down before winter sets in. There’s hope in it, and a little sadness too… And I always want to set aside a few days for myself at this time of year. Beyond Bodrum, there are many coves along the coast where you can enjoy the golden summer. The newly opened Palaia Hotel in Datça center has become one of Turkey’s best and most exclusive addresses. They’ve designed everything inspired by Datça’s history, texture, and cuisine.

Palaia, meaning “old, rooted,” is also the name of the first settlement on the Datça Peninsula. You can see the remains of a church and baths belonging to the ancient city of Palaia Knidos, unearthed during the hotel’s construction, on the beach in front of the hotel.
