Cancellation Policy

PALAIA HOTEL DIRECT RESERVATION CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

1. Scope

This policy applies only to bookings made through www.palaiahotel.com, by phone, email, or the hotel’s direct sales channels.

For bookings made through third-party booking/sales platforms such as ETS, Jolly Tur, Booking, Expedia, etc., the cancellation and refund conditions of the respective platform will apply separately.

2. Confirming the Reservation

Reservations are confirmed with the hotel’s written approval and, if necessary, a prepayment/deposit/credit card security deposit.

For stays during peak season, a one-night prepayment may be required to guarantee the reservation.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of booking, the following terms apply to direct bookings:

Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date will be fully refunded in the currency used for payment.

Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to the arrival date will incur a no-show penalty equivalent to 3 nights’ accommodation, or the amount paid will be deducted from the total amount.

The 3-night no-show penalty also applies if the guest does not check in without canceling their reservation.

If the guest terminates their stay earlier than planned after checking in, the refund of unused nights will be subject to the hotel’s assessment and booking conditions.

    4. Currency Exchange and Advance Payment

    Guests can be informed that they can pay if they wish to avoid exchange rate fluctuations; otherwise, the exchange rate valid on the date of payment will be used. The transaction will be processed according to the guest’s preferred payment timing.

    5. Early Booking / Promotional Prices

    The hotel may periodically offer early booking discounts, promotions, reduced prices, or special campaigns. In such cases, the cancellation, modification, and refund conditions specific to the campaign will be announced separately, and these special conditions will apply instead of the general policy.

    The absence of an active early booking campaign does not preclude the application of special campaigns in the future.

    6. Amendment Requests

    Requests for changes to reservation dates, room types, or the number of people are subject to availability. If a change is approved, a price difference and new conditions applicable on the new dates may apply.

    The hotel is not obligated to accept change requests.

    7. Cancellation Notification Method

    Cancellation requests must be made in writing for ease of proof. Cancellation requests can be submitted through the following channels:

    A written receipt/confirmation from the hotel is required for the cancellation to be considered valid.

    8. Return Period

    In cases where a refund is entitled, the payment will be refunded within a reasonable processing time, in accordance with the method of payment received. The hotel is not responsible for delays caused by the bank or payment institution.

    9. Force Majeure and Exceptional Circumstances

    In cases of force majeure such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, official bans, complete cessation of transportation, and similar events, the hotel reserves the right to offer the guest the most suitable alternative from among date changes, credit provision, or partial/full refunds, depending on the specific circumstances of each case.

    10. Information Regarding the Right of Withdrawal

    Reservations for accommodation services offered on a specific date or period may be considered exceptions to the general right of withdrawal under consumer legislation; therefore, this Cancellation Policy primarily applies to such reservations.
